GENESYS™ MATRYX® INTERFERENCE SCREW
GENESYS™ Matryx® Interference Screws are members of the GENESYS™ family of products which incorporate microTCP™, a biocomposite material advancement. Using a patented micro filtration process ß-TCP particles are yielded in their smallest form. These proprietary microTCP particles are uniformly embedded throughout 96L/4D PLA bioabsorbable polymer delivering a more porous and stronger biocomposite material.
- Proven bone ingrowth
- Uniformly embedded blend of microTCP and 96L/4D PLA
- Enhanced tip thread profile for easy insertion
- Provides initial fixation strength and stability

- FDA Product Code: HWC
- FDA Product Code Name: Screw, Fixation, Bone
- GMDN Term Code: 45039
- GMDN Term Name: Bioabsorbable orthopaedic bone screw
- GMDN Term Description: A small, threaded, implantable rod with a slotted head typically used for internal orthopaedic fracture fixation by being screwed into bone to hold plates or nails to bone or to provide direct interfragmentary stabilization of bone, or it may fasten soft tissue to bone; it is made of a material that is chemically degraded and typically absorbed via natural body processes (e.g., degradable polymers). There are several kinds available: cortical, cancellous, malleolar, scaphoid, partially-threaded and fully-threaded. A "lag screw" can be any of these used to obtain compression across bone fragments.
