Description
Cook Medical Perc NCompass® Nitinol Stone Extractor
Used for the extraction of stones and foreign objects in the kidney and bladder. The multiwire geometry of the Perc NCompass creates a standard 4-wire design at complete deployment and an intricate 16-wire design during closure. At full deployment, the distal portion provides a netting effect to help prevent stone migration. The nitinol wire construction allows the extractor to retain its shape following torsion. The tipless basket minimizes trauma to surrounding tissue. A stainless steel cannula provides strength and reliability comparable to traditional reusable surgical instrumentation.
