W. L. Gore GORE-TEX Soft Tissue Patch for Hernia and Soft Tissue Repair
The GORE-TEX® Soft Tissue Patch is a non-absorbable, microporous ePTFE biomaterial designed for soft tissue reinforcement and reconstruction. Engineered for strength and biocompatibility, it is indicated for the repair of hernias and soft tissue deficiencies, including laparoscopic hernia repair, inguinal herniorrhaphy, and temporary bridging of fascial defects. The patch features a node-and-fibril structure with a 17–22 μm average pore size, promoting host tissue incorporation while minimizing foreign body response. Its pre-configured design allows for easy trimming and shaping without fraying, facilitating efficient surgical handling.
