Description
Terumo Angio-Seal™ STS PLUS Vascular Closure Device VCD
The Angio-Seal™ STS PLUS vascular closure device is composed of a bioabsorbable collagen sponge and a specially designed absorbable polymer anchor connected by an absorbable self-tightening suture. The device seals and sandwiches the arteriotomy between its two primary components, the anchor and the collagen sponge. Hemostasis is achieved primarily through mechanical means and is supplemented by the platelet inducing properties of the collagen.
